What flow is the Margaret model suited for?
Margaret suits a heavy and very heavy flow and has a stated capacity of up to 100 ml. How often you need to change depends on your flow; the capacity doesn't guarantee a specific number of hours of wear.
Can I wear Margaret at night?
Yes. The high-waisted fit and the absorbent area, extended front and back, give coverage even while you sleep. Put on a clean pair before going to bed, and adapt the wearing time to your flow.
How many hours can I wear them?
Up to 12 hours, depending on your flow. On heavy flow days, you may need to change sooner. Change pairs if you feel damp or if the absorbent area is nearing its capacity.
Which materials are in contact with the skin?
The gusset layer contains 30% hemp and 70% organic cotton. The outer fabric is made of 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane. The full composition of the layers is shown in the Technology section.
How do I wash and dry them?
Rinse them in cold water after use, and machine wash them at 40°C. After your period, wash them at 60°C. Avoid fabric softener and bleach. Let them air-dry completely, without a tumble dryer and without ironing.
How many pairs should I use?
It depends on how long your period lasts, how often you change pairs and how long it takes to wash and dry them. Plan pairs to wear, pairs for while the others are drying, and one extra. The calculator on the page helps you compare costs for the number you choose.
