Wooden sauna with heated stones

From dip to dry change

A little preparation.
A more relaxed morning.

  1. 01

    Try it at home

Check the fit before your outing. If you choose an internal product, get familiar with insertion and removal first.

  2. 02

    Pack a dry change

Bring your towel, dry underwear and a clean place to store used products.

  3. 03

    Care for every piece

Follow your model’s care instructions and let swimwear dry fully between outings.

Period know-how

Your period.
A little more understood.

Small facts that make choosing easier — in the water, in the heat and afterwards.

01

Water does not switch your period off.

Menstruation continues in water. Water pressure may reduce visible flow temporarily; it is not dependable period protection. Be prepared when you get out.

Water & periods ↗
02

Warmth is not a flow forecast.

Sauna increases circulation, but that does not prove it increases menstrual blood loss. Evidence specific to sauna and menstrual flow is limited. Check your flow, hydrate and leave if you feel dizzy.

03

Tampons: choose, change, check.

Use the lowest absorbency you need. Change every 4–8 hours, never exceed 8, and change after swimming. Sudden fever, vomiting, rash or faintness: remove the tampon and seek urgent help.

Tampon safety · FDA ↗
04

Cold water deserves preparation.

Go with others, enter slowly, know your exit and have warm, dry clothes ready. Follow supervised club guidance. Menstrual protection does not protect you from cold-water shock.

05

No insertion is a valid preference.

Period swimwear can suit teens or anyone avoiding internal products. Discomfort is not automatically an allergy. Stop using a product that irritates you and seek advice; “organic” does not guarantee no reaction.

Irritation · NHS ↗
06

Heavy flow needs its own plan.

Choose protection for your actual flow, with a dry change ready. If you regularly need to change protection every 1–2 hours, or bleeding disrupts your life, speak with a clinician.

Heavy periods · NHS ↗

Educational information, not individual medical advice. Follow product instructions and venue rules. Seek medical advice for new symptoms, persistent irritation or unusually heavy bleeding.

Before your next dip

A few things
worth knowing.

Clear answers, so you can choose with confidence.

Can I swim with period swimwear?

Femieko period swimwear is designed for use in water. Kaia is described for moderate flow or in combination with a disc or cup. Check the guidance for your model and change it when saturated.

What if swimwear is not permitted in the sauna?

Choose a menstrual disc or tampon you are familiar with, following the product instructions and the venue’s hygiene rules. Use one internal product at a time and sit on a towel. If you prefer no insertion, choose a venue or session that permits swimwear.

Can I wear ordinary period underwear in the water?

Choose swimwear designed for water. Ordinary period underwear is for dry use and does not replace period swimwear. Pack it as a dry change after swimming.

How long can I wear a disc or cup?

The selected Femieko disc and cup are described for up to 12 hours, depending on flow. This is a maximum, not a guaranteed wear time. Empty more often when needed and follow the product instructions.

How do I care for swimwear after the pool?

Rinse after swimming and follow your model’s care label for washing. Let it dry fully before the next use.

Is this a discounted bundle?

This builder combines individual products at their displayed store prices. No unconfirmed bundle discount is added. The final price, availability, delivery and return terms are shown in the Femieko store.
