PREGNANCY & POSTPARTUM

Care for your baby.
Care for yourself.

When you become a mother, you start looking differently at the things you use every day. That includes the materials that touch your skin.

FROM A MOTHER, FOR OTHER WOMEN

A personal question.
The beginning of Femieko.

While she was breastfeeding, Narcisa started paying closer attention to the products she used and the substances she came into contact with. The wish to make choices she could trust, for herself and her family, was the beginning of Femieko.

Maybe you are reading labels more carefully now too. That is why we talk concretely about what you choose: organic cotton against your skin, no added fragrance and protection that suits each stage.

CHOOSE BY YOUR NEEDS

Which stage are you in?

More discharge during pregnancy, lochia after birth, then back to your routine. Your needs change; we choose protection to match them.

During pregnancy

More discharge?
A little extra comfort when you need it.

During pregnancy, vaginal discharge can be heavier. If the dampness in your underwear bothers you, panty liners can offer light everyday protection. Change them when they get damp; you do not need to wear them all the time.

Femieko panty liners have an organic cotton layer against the skin and no added fragrance. They are for small amounts: choose protection according to how much discharge you actually have.

Not for bleeding or a suspected loss of amniotic fluid. In those cases, contact your doctor or midwife.

The choice here helps you explore the products; it is not a medical assessment.

Everyone asks about the baby.
You deserve care too.

A moment of rest. A comfortable pair. A change of clothes within reach. Small things, chosen for you.

THE PRODUCTS, EXPLAINED SIMPLY

The right protection.
At the right time.

Panty liners during pregnancy, pads matched to your flow in the postpartum weeks, and reusable underwear when your recovery allows it.

For the heavy lochia at the start, use the maternity pads recommended by your healthcare team. Panty liners and Ultra Day do not automatically replace them. Current prices and stock are shown in the shop.

What touches your skin
deserves attention.

Materials matter. So do absorbency, fit and how the product feels when you wear it.

01

Organic cotton against the skin

For panty liners and pads, the layer that touches the skin is made of organic cotton. Check the full composition on each product page.

02

No added fragrance

The panty liners and pads shown have no added fragrance. A concrete choice if you prefer to avoid scented intimate products.

03

Comfort on your body

Choose protection according to your flow, change it regularly, and check that it does not pinch or rub. Natural does not mean suitable for every skin: stop using it if irritation appears.

Before you go to the maternity ward,
a few clearer choices.

A practical guide, to be completed with the hospital's packing list and the recommendations of the team caring for you.

What do I pack for the maternity ward?

The pads recommended by the hospital, loose underwear, soft clothes and clean changes. Complete your bag according to the maternity ward's list.

What do I ask before I am discharged?

How do I keep track of the bleeding, how often should I change protection, and which signs need medical help? Ask when you can switch to reusable underwear.

How do I choose underwear after recovery?

Measure your body as it is now and check each product's size chart. Make sure it does not pinch, press or rub on the area around a caesarean incision.

Perfectly natural questions.
Answers without rushing.

The guide helps you make an informed choice. Your doctor's or midwife's advice takes priority in your situation.

Can I use period underwear right after birth?

Do not assume they are suitable from day one, even if they have high absorbency. For the initial bleeding, follow your maternity ward's advice on pads and changing them. Ask when you can switch to absorbent underwear.

What if I had a caesarean?

Lochia also occurs after a caesarean. Choose underwear that does not rub or press on the incision. A high waist does not automatically mean a good fit: what matters is where the waistband sits on your body and your healthcare team's advice.

Can I use a cup, disc or tampons?

Internal products are not the option while your body heals after birth. Discuss when to start using them again at your postnatal check, usually around 6–8 weeks after birth (per the NHS); every person's recovery is different.

How do I choose a size after birth?

Measure your hips and check the product's size chart, without starting from your pre-pregnancy size. Underwear should sit comfortably without pinching or leaving painful marks.

How often do I change protection?

Regularly, and whenever it is full or you feel dampness. After birth, do not rely on a promise of 8 or 12 hours of wear. Follow your maternity ward's instructions and the product instructions.

When should I seek medical help?

During pregnancy, tell your doctor or midwife if you have bleeding or suspect a loss of amniotic fluid. After birth, seek an assessment for fever, an unusual smell, increasing pain or bleeding that gets heavier.

Sudden, very heavy bleeding, dizziness or a feeling of fainting needs urgent help. Call 112.

Your body is doing a lot.

Make room for your comfort too.
