Questions about Femieko Teen.

What is period underwear for teens and how does it work?

Period underwear is underwear with built-in absorbent layers that hold your menstrual flow. You wear it like a regular pair of underwear, then wash it and reuse it as directed on the label. Choose the Femieko Teen model by size and absorbency level.

How do I choose a size for Femieko Teen period underwear?

Measure the circumference of your hips and compare it with the table for the model you chose. Check the age sizes (12-14 years and 14-16 years) and combined sizes separately. The underwear should fit well without squeezing; the product’s table is your guide when ordering.

How long can I wear period underwear and can I use it at night?

The time between changes depends on your flow and the capacity of the model. Change your pair when needed and follow the product instructions. For sleep, choose a model designed for night and suited to your flow; there is not one number of hours that fits everyone.

How do I wash reusable period underwear?

Follow the temperature, wash programme and drying instructions on the label of the model. Read the instructions before first use and keep a spare pair ready while the washed one dries.

Which menstrual cup is in the Femieko Teen range?

The range includes the Femieko Safe menstrual cup in size XS, in purple. It is an option for internal protection. Check the dimensions and the instructions for use on the product page before choosing. If you prefer protection without insertion, you can choose period underwear or pads.

Who is the free Femieko Teen Flow guide for?

The Femieko Teen Flow guide is for teens, parents and teachers. It includes information about the first period and practical pointers for everyday life. In the guide section you can choose who you are reading it for.

Can I send a question without a name to Ask Femieko?

The Questions without shame section is designed for questions without a name or phone number. The form is being prepared and sending is not available yet. Do not include your name, your school or other details that could identify you.

When it is worth asking for help.

Ask an adult and a doctor for help if the bleeding is very heavy, the pain is severe or you feel dizzy. Cycles can be irregular at first; a gap of more than 3 months is worth discussing with a doctor. If your first period has not arrived by age 15, seek medical advice.
